the fab shop

Simply the Best…

Top quality fabricated products and a “can-do” attitude is how our customers consistently describe The Fab Shop, a proud division of DCS Electronics, Inc. That’s pretty impressive, when you consider the customers are NASA, Spallation Neutron Source, BWXT Y-12, Eastman Chemical, ALCOA, Kimberly Clark, Rockwell Engineering and Aydin Industrial Products. By combining mechanical design expertise, practical work experience, craftsmanship, manufacturing flexibility and finishing expertise with professional certifications (AWS, UL 508A) and professional knowledge (NEMA, UL, NEC), The Fab Shop can manufacture a top quality product in carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum when you need it and at a very competitive price.

No Hassle Build-to-Design...

If you have already designed your product, you can electronically transmit your design to us for a quote and production.. We maintain all designs, down to the component part number in our electronic files. When changes occur, our designers can redesign to your specification or concept, and, with your approval, manufacture revised designs for replacement parts or complete assemblies.

Professional and Experienced Staff

The Fab Shop is here to serve you. Each team member is dedicated to providing the best product quality and customer support that you will find anywhere. Some of our customers have been dealing with the same DCS team members for over 10 years! What that means is we make it our business to understand and manufacture products to meet our customers’ needs.

State of the Art Equipment and Facility

Using state of the art manufacturing processes, we produce top quality products and to meet your delivery schedule while eliminating expensive design and tooling costs. Our manufacturing equipment, which includes a  1500 watt laser cutting machine, allows us to manufacture many unique and challenging designs in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

or Design Your Concept...

If you have a sketch or a concept , we can design it for you. Unlike most metal fabricators, we have been designing custom products for customers since 1985. In all design/build situations, we work closely with the customer to develop the best design that is also cost effective and practical for the application. We have many designs that we have done over the years, so if you need an idea,  let us recommend a design for you!

Assembly

We can ship your product “turnkey” and ready for installation upon arrival. Many of our customers depend on us for assembly because it saves them time, money and manpower.

Short Run Production

Our manufacturing process is flexible and designed to meet the needs of customers with short runs or small lots of a part or custom design.

Prototyping

Twenty years experience in custom design and our flexible manufacturing process explain why The Fab Shop is the right choice for your prototype needs. We can fabricate your design or we can design your product from concept.
